Why this site exists
If you’ve searched for HVAC software as a small contractor, you’ve hit the same wall everyone does: almost every “best HVAC software” list is written by the software companies themselves, or aimed at large operations with dedicated dispatchers and office staff. Genuinely independent advice for a small shop is hard to find.
HVAC Software Finder exists to fix that. We’re an independent resource that helps small and solo HVAC contractors — shops running anywhere from one truck to fifteen — find the right tools without wading through vendor marketing.
What makes us different
We don’t sell software. We have no field service platform of our own to push, so we have no reason to favor one tool over another except how well it actually serves your shop.
We list the cons. Every tool has weaknesses. You’ll find them on every review here, including for the tools we recommend most highly. A review without drawbacks isn’t a review — it’s an advertisement.
We focus on small contractors specifically. Most coverage is written for 20-plus-truck operations with office staff. Their advice — and the expensive, enterprise software they recommend — is wrong for a shop self-managing a handful of techs. We only cover what makes sense for your size of business.
We keep it current. HVAC software pricing and features change constantly. We date our reviews, update them, and always tell you to verify current pricing on the provider’s own site before signing up.

Our review process
We evaluate each tool on six things that matter to a small HVAC contractor: real total cost (including the implementation and per-tech fees the marketing pages downplay), speed and ease of setup, the quality of the mobile app for techs in the field, field quoting and proposal tools, maintenance-agreement and recurring-billing support, and what verified contractors actually report on platforms like G2, Capterra, and trade forums.
