- It does not influence our opinions. We rank and recommend tools based on how well they serve small HVAC contractors — not based on which company pays the highest commission. We routinely recommend cheaper tools over pricier ones when they’re the better fit, and we publish the genuine weaknesses of every product, including those we earn from.
